Leighton Meester = Good Girl Gone Bad!

You might recognize her as the fashionable,  Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl, but Leighton Meester has been busy making a name for herself as being more than an actress*

Earlier this year, Leighton signed a recording contract with Universal Republic to produce an album that has an “electro-pop edge”.

Around that time, Leighton was also featured in the Cobra Starship song “Good Girls Go Bad”, which reached the Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 peaking at #7 and winning Leighton a reputation as a singer in addition to her acting (Might I add she looked ridiculously stunning in the video -in a pair of high waisted shorts, a black blazer and shiny red heels – at least 5 inches that perfectly match her manicure!).

Her first single “Somebody To Love” featuring R&B singer Robin Thicke hit radios on October 13 and youtube.com has a really neat, behind-the-scenes making of the video…where she mentions the designers used in the video as well as recaps what the song means to her - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbIIapCIVLw

For the upcoming holidays, Leighton  made a cover of the song “Christmas Baby” for the compilation album A Very Special Christmas 7, released November 24, 2009 (I think this is pretty neat and am excited to hear it!)

Currently, Leighton lives in NYC where she has been busy filming Gossip Girl and dating Sebastian Stan aka ‘Carter Baizen’ from the show.

This Saturday (December 12) Leighton is set to co-host the Y100 Jingle Ball concert  at the Atlantic Bank Center in Miami, Fla along with American Idol’s Adam Lambert.

Together, they will be introducing Shakira, Timbaland, Jordin Sparks, The Fray, Flo Rida, LMFAO, 3OH!3, Colbie Caillat, Jason Derulo and iYaz.
