Leaving shortly for Orlando to watch the shuttle launch!

“NASA launch managers this morning cleared space shuttle Endeavour to lift off before dawn Sunday from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, one of the five remaining flights before the shuttle program concludes this year or early next”.
~Scientific American
MSNBS:
Night shuttle launch may be seen on East Coast
It is likely to be the last time NASA’s shuttle takes off in darkness
“People in the eastern United States will get a great opportunity, weather permitting, to see the space shuttle Endeavour launched into orbit early on Sunday morning, Feb. 7. And it will also likely be the very last opportunity ever to see a space shuttle blast off at night”!
Good thing we booked weeks ago!!!
WDBO:
Good luck getting a hotel room anywhere near the pre-dawn launch of the space shuttle! “Our hotel occupancy for this is going to be a good 90 to 100 percentile.”

Now is your chance to own one of Lady Gaga’s outrageous costumes from her recent concert tour — signed by the Lady herself!

When Lady Gaga was a little girl, she would sing along on her mini plastic tape recorder to Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper hits and get twirled in the air in daddy’s arms to the sounds of the Rolling Stones and The Beatles. The precocious child would dance around the table at fancy upper west side restaurants using the breadsticks as a baton. And, she would innocently greet a new babysitter in nothing but her birthday suit. It’s no wonder that little girl from a good Italian New York family, turned into the exhibitionist, multi-talented singer-songwriter with a flair for theatrics that she is today: Lady Gaga.

The D&G Spring 2010 runway collection from Milan’s Fashion Week has inspired me to begin my Halloween costume early. I will indeed, be a western/cowgirl this year and rather than dishing out the ‘well over $2,000′ it would set me back to purchase the original runway pieces, I will opt for a ‘Do it Myself’ version for under $100.00*
With NYC Fashion Week approaching, I will have to wait a few weeks to get started but am nonetheless excited about the upcoming sewing project!

This winter I saved a bundle by attempting to crochet a version of the Diane von Furstenburg Pom-Pom hat* It didn’t come out exactly as planned but nonetheless saved me from splurging above my budget.

‘Manna Wintour’ pokes fun at Anna Wintour on ‘Ugly Betty’
Anna Wintour:

Famed performer JUSTIN BOND told Michael Musto of The village Voice ”that he, along with a bunch of other trans - cuties, just shot an episode of UGLY BETTY”.
Well that was back in December and this past week we got to see just exactly who Justin was playing!
The episode follows Willemena Slater as she attends a trans gender show after learning that she has a drag queen impersonator - called Wilhediva Hater! Wilhelmina is horrified to find that a drag queen is doing a cabaret version of her and sets out to put an end to the show’s preformance! That’s when we meet mocked editor - in - chief for American Vogue’s Anna Wintour, aka “Manna Wintour” which was a drag queen version of the editorial genuis doing a cabaret of her own!
The entire parody was delightful, the episode overall, just so, so…*
Perhaps that’s why while Anna Wintour has held her position since 1988, Ugly Betty is getting the Axe!
